HACK & LACK REVISITED

as previously mentioned i went to my hometown MINDEN last week to spray a freshly cut piece at this year’s edition of the HACK & LACK graffiti jam.

for the third year running LORD SCAN and the KREATIVZENTRUM ANNE FRANK invited painters from all over Germany to come together for a day of barbecue, music and painting in the green.

The event has grown considerably since it first took place in 2009 (then under the name GRILLEN & LACKIEREN) and this year the grounds had been extended, new walls were added and for the first time the little ones were given the opportunity of trying  their hands at spray painting (ANNE FRANK HAUS providing protective gear, paint and guidance for them).

Those who attended were rewarded with very nice weather, an extremely relaxed atmosphere and a great scenery.

wie bereits erwähnt, bin ich am vergangenen woche in meine heimatstadt MINDEN gefahren, um dort auf dem HACK & LACK graffiti jam ein frisch geschnittenes bild zu sprühen.

zum dritten mal haben LORD SCAN und das KREATIVZENTRUM ANNE FRANK maler aus ganz deutschland zu grillen, musik und malen im grünen eingeladen.

die veranstaltung ist seit 2009 (damals noch GRILLEN & LACKIEREN) um einiges größer geworden und dieses jahr wurde das gelände erweitert, neue wände wurden aufgestellt und zum ersten mal hatten die kleineren besucher die möglichkeit, sich im sprühen zu versuchen (das ANNE FRANKHAUS stellte schutzbekleidung und dosen für sie zur verfügung und sorgte für betreuung).

alle, die kamen, wurden mit gutem wetter, einer entspannten atmosphäre und einer tollen szenerie belohnt.

there will be lots of painting going on with artists from all over germany, there will be music, there will be food and drink available (but you’re free to bring your own)…
grab a blanket and your picnic basket and come on over!
…nehme morgen diese frisch geschnittenen schablonen mit nach MINDEN zur dritten AUSGABE des HACK & LACK jams…
es haben sich maler aus ganz deutschland angekündigt, es gibt musik, feinste grillwaren und getränke (kann man auch selbst mitbringen, muss man aber nicht)…
also, decke und picknickkorb einpacken und vorbeikommen…

had the pleasure of meeting photographer DAVID CRAUSBY this week. david had stumbled accross my UP | DOWN ‘N AROUND MURAL during one of his walks in december, took a few photos of it and after a bit of research got in touch with me via flickr.
on monday morning i got a message from him, saying that he’ll be taking some more photos of the UP | DOWN ‘N AROUND pieces in a minute and asking whether i would like to come around…
one or two hours later we actually met and david took THESE PHOTOS…

hatte diese woche das vergnügen, den fotografen DAVID CRAUSBY kennenzulernen. david ist im dezember bei einem seiner fußmärsche über mein UP | DOWN ‘N AROUND WANDBILD gestolpert, hat einige fotos davon gemacht und ist nach ein wenig recherche über flickr mit mir in kontakt getreten.
am montag morgen schickte er mir eine nachricht, in der er schrieb, daß er gleich noch einige aufnahmen von den UP | DOWN ‘N AROUND arbeiten machen wolle, und fragte, ob ich vorbeikommen würde…
kurze zeit später haben wir uns dann tatsächlich getroffen und david hat
DIESE FOTOS gemacht…
